The Alton School District will be partnering with the Alton Education Association and the Illinois Education Association to improve the mentoring offered to teachers in their first three years.
New teachers in year one – three are offered $500 stipend for participating in the IEA Virtual Instructional Coaching and Building Mentor Program.
Experienced educators are able to apply for a position as a Building Mentor or the statewide Virtual Coaching Program. Stipends are provided for selected applicants.
